Where and When?

• Our welcome reception will take place in one of the most beautyful buildings of Kiel: the place where the state parliament holds its meetings. The address is

  It takes place in the second floor of this building - this floor can be reached conventionally via the stairs or via a paternoster elevator (that's pretty rare in Germany).
  
  We will start on Sunday, 4th of September, at 19:00 h. You can reach the building using the bus lines 41 and 42. Parking is possible on the parking area nearby.
  
  We will meet in the "Schleswig-Hostein-Saal" - the room directly above the parliament with a beautiful view on the Kiel Fjord (Kieler Förde).

  What Will Happen?

  Our welcome reception will last about two hours. After speeches from
  
      Staatssekretärin (undersecretary of state) Dr. Cordelia Andreßen,
      Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Verkehr (ministry of science, economics, and transport),
  
  and from
  
      Dr.-Ing. Hans-Wilhelm Gierlich,
      HEAD acoustics, Head of the Telecom Division,
  
  we will have some fingerfood and drinks. A lot of the participants will know the other from previous DSP workshops and other conferences. At about 21:00 h we can walk along the "Kiellinie" (Kiel's famous boardwalk) to the center of the city and join restaurants and bars for dinner.
